No Audio On Firewire Transfer?
I just picked up a Sony Mini-DV camcorder. I've tried transferring the video to my PC via firewire, but all I get is the video -- there's no sound whatsoever. I've also tried using analog RCA cables through a Dazzle DVC80 to USB, but I also get no audio.
The audio works fine using the RCAs when connected to my TV, the my computer picks audio up just fine if I connect my old analog camcorder through the Dazzle.
I've read here and there that most programs allow you to select the audio input device, and switching that to the camera/firewire will fix the problem. Neither of the capture programs I have (Windows Movie Maker 2 and MovieStar that comes with Dazzle) give me the option to do so.
Any recommendations?
