Hi!
I tested some of the most popular video players (BS, wmp2-9-classic, The Core, etc) and, if you're searching for a REALLY fast&complete one then you should try this:
Crystal Player (www.crystalplayer.com)
I have the 1.5 (free) version, these are the main features:
-Video formats: .asf .avi(divx,dv,etc) .divx .m1v .m2v .mls .mpeg .mpg .ogm .vob .wmv .xqt
-Subtitles: .srt .ssa .smi .sub .js .dks .mpl .rt .smil amd the possibility to change font, color, shadow, position
-Filters: ...well, it's faster to say what is missing
there are almost 30 filters, but I never used them
..and: zoom, fullscreen, multiple languages, skins, playlist, screenshots, etc
-Speed: I have an old PIII, anyway it loads in less than one second and even the seeking is really fast.
It may seem a contradiction, but the main reason why I use it (over the speed and the compatibility with...everything) is that ALL filters can be removed, this way colors are really clear and brilliant like I could never see with other players.
