I used gordian knot to encode a vob file which i ripped from a DVD useing DVD decrypter. I made it a divx5 codec and used vrb mp3 for audio. When i enconde it it creates 2 files. One file i was able to play easliy but with no sound. The other file took a lot of work to get it to play and when i did get it to play the sound is very scratchy. 
I tried to encode it a second time useing ac3 as the sound and it does the exact same thing.
I have divx6 player and that will not play it just come up with an error saying
unknown Exception caught.
IN winamp it will play but very scratchy sound and i cant skip through the movie.
In power dvd it also will play with scratchy sound but i can skip through the movie.
I used gspot to see if i was missing any codec but it lok like they are all there.
Im not 100% sure what im looking at so i dont know.
And for somereason i cant take a screen shot of my desktop so i cant post a screen shot of it.
If any one could help me i would very much apreciate it.
