Need to convert 3/4" to both DVD and uncompressed. would like to do it in a "single pass" since the originals are quite old.
I have a couple of composite video outs (BNC) on the old 3/4" players, and a composite in DVD recorder. Now what I need to configure is the conversion to uncompressed digital formatf or archival storage in a RAID array (Vanguard V 5-Bay FireWire800).
I thought about using a Dazzle MovieBox, but I don't know if they convert to an uncompressed format and if i would have to go through a computer to do that. I am also not sure that USB 2 is fast enough for this.
