flv 2 avi (am I missing a codec?)

I have tried both Riva Encoder & SUPER and they give me errors when encoding, but if I use the trial version of Total Video Converter it will encode without any problems and I am guessing maybe I need to install a codec? Already installed are:

    AC3 Filter
    MPEG2 Codec

    error messages?

though you need not encode anyway, flv extract can extract streams, just mux them afterwards with virtualdub

Or you could download mplayer/mencoder, that works well too.

You can search "flv to video converter" with google for other solutions.

you can, but unfortunately all you'll get is very crummy and overpriced commercial software that is usually nothing but a GUI for the LGPL ffmpeg

Oh I found my old post.. Cool ) I just registered to be a member, hope that can help someone a little
I told here about soft "FLV to Video Converter". I so doubted coz of
to buy or not to buy... But now I can strongly to say that I made right
            decision.
Well I even could make a little money with it. I converted some flv files
for my client. He liked result. I think it says for something,
and before that, I used ffmpeg, but the output files without sound
