Trouble with .ts files

I have downloaded several films that have a .ts file, I want to be able to watch these films on my TV so I bought a Sumvision micro 2 mediaplayer. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to matter how I change these files I can't get them right. Some will only play the sound but some will play both but the lipsinc is well out. Is there anyone out there that can help me.
