Refresh Rate Issue

Well I did what I should have done when I got the new MB, I formatted the C drive and reloaded windows from scratch. However it did not really fix the refresh rate problem. But I did learn that if I keep the screen resolution at 800x600 I do not have the rolling lines on the screen, but when I change my res to the preferred 1024x768 I start seeing the problem again. This resolution of 1024x768 was what I always used prior to replacing the MB.
I’m starting to think it is the Video Card. Any other thoughts?Comment

So I tried installing the actual drivers for monitor, unplugging all the fans, removing the current video drivers and reinstalling them. Nothing seems to get rid of those lines rolling on the screen. I also found that I was wrong about the 800x600 res, it also show the problem.
The question I have now is it the Video card since I have the same problem even when the drivers are uninstalled. Could it be the Motherboard or the AGP slot itself?
I do have the extended warranty from Newegg on the MB, I could RMA. After all the display was fine before.Last edited by dafaba; 20 Jan 2006, 01:58 AM.Comment
