you dont have to exchange the entire cooler

you could leave your current heatsink on your cpu and only exchange the fans for a test

in case both coolers have 60x60 fans it should be easily done swapping one fan for the other

I switched my fans and its a small differance in temp runs at 51-53 idle with this fan and its much more quiet than the other fan so I'll just leave it this way until I can find a funnel and place a 80mm fan on top. Thank you both for all your help and putting up with me through all this.

One more question. My 1 gig ram stick is running at 2 different speeds. Is this normal or should it be running at all the same speed? My 512 stick is running at 166 mhz and my 1 gig has 2 readings. One at 166 Mhz and one at 133 Mhz.

the 1 gig stick just has 2 different spd tables speeds it supports, that's fine
it will run at 166 to match the other stick
