@chewy. not really. you can save the set-up settings though. if the power goes out, the file is cut off where it was processing. if it's in the middle i can do 2 things:

    1) continue from the cutt off point by navigating to the frame manually

    or

    2) bitch and moan and start all over.

i always do #2. much better job. luckily this has happened only once.
A good place to start looking would be here

        I use a battery backup.

In Florida you not only get the thunderstorms but the brown outs because everyone has their AC cranked. I paid a lot, but when I'm working and on the phone with a customer, my PC won't turn off. If the power stays off I can have the customer call me back.

I like the CPS650SL for $38.00. All 6 plugs will be protected and 3 of them will have battery back up. It should supply a 19" monitor and a 3Ghz machine for around 15 minutes or so.

I have 2 PCs running off the battery backup. There are so many power cords that I have another surge protector running off it. Although I have a KVM cable, I still have two sets of speakers and the phone plugged in as well. Will this decrease the backup's protection?

No, but it can shorten the life of the UPS, especially if everything is on a lot.

                  Thanks copyless,

knew it had to have some effect but wasn't sure how it would show.
