        Katz,
Ten burners is still not enough. You are very demanding.

Something has to be done about it's appearance though, I think you need one of those fancy designers on the job.

Chewy - booted new pc, started to install xp. I set C part. @ 25 GB.

            1. BIOS lists IDE 1 & 2 as my Benq Master/slave.
            2. BIOS lists my Seagate SATA, which is on SATA 1 as IDE 3???
            3. The install is going smoothly - did not ask me for "f6 to install 3rd. party/raid driver"?

well that's great, looks like bios and chipset are fooling windows with a true ide emulation for the sata controller?

it's good as long as you don't hose it with some raid drivers

wait till it finishes and see how it turns out

Wow! I love new technology! (I better not speak too soon, I don't want to jinx it) Windows is finished loading already, now installing SP2. Took maybe 15 min. total. I won't install any drivers from the mainboard CD (via) learned my lesson with those.

when it finishes then look in device manager and you can even use winrar to try and extract individual drivers as needed, just stay away from all in one packages, better yet try the web for the latest drives for missing components

durn mobo cd's might even be for xp sp1

you should have already slipstreamed sp2 into the install cd

I knew you would say that, but I have never done that before, & am not real clear on how it's done.

I figured I can do that next time around, since 1 install is never enough!

                            Ok, 5 dev. manager question marks;

1.PCI device - guess that's the vid card?
                            2.System Interrupt Controller?
3.USB Controller? - Guess that's on the mobo cd?
                            4.Unknown device?
                            5.Video Controller?

Video card is pci-e 16, I did not load the drivers yet...

                                what's your mobo?

you are going to need a chipset driver for the agp and usb northbridge function before loading any vid drivers
