@ Kabuchan ... the most interesting thing in your picture is the "Flag" ... and I am Surprised how some Lefty Die Hard in L.A. has not YET cried about taking the flag down.

They ARE flags. They are somehow related to the religious faith (Buddhism) of the people at that part of the country. There is a tragic story behind the name of the lake(and pass). It is called SELA PASS and SELA LAKE. Sela was a common village girl. She fell in love with an Indian soldier, Jaswant Singh. In the Indo-China war of 1962, Jaswant was captured and killed after he singlehandedly resisted a 75 man Chinese army for 72 hours. He ran from bunker to bunker firing shots. The Chinese thought that there was a whole army present because of firing from multiple bunkers. The local people ,including Sela, helped Jaswant. Finally he was captured. After his death, Sela was said to have jumped off the mountains at this place.

BTW, Beautiful Zoo Pictures ... I downloaded some of them ... I hope you don't have a copyright on them ... becasue I was thinking about shrinking some and usingthem as AVATAR.
