I have backed up my hard drive using DriveImage and restored it to another hard drive. Everything appears to be on the new drive but it will not boot on the same computer. What am I doing wrong?

This was a test or trial run before I actually needed it. I did the DI backup which seemed to include everything. All I did to the computer was to replace my ogiginal drive with the backup drive. I went into the bios to be sure it was reconized as the master.Comment

Thanks Chewy, problem drive was not active, checked active and tried again. It started to boot, but hung up on the second Windows XP screen. I decided to do the backup again. this time it was a drive to drive copy with the raw mode checked. I set the backup drive as secondary master, the last time it was primary slave. Does any of this make a difference? Also I reformated the backup drive first. I will report back when backup is finished.Comment
