I must be stupid or something

Just when I think I have a great handle on this backing up DVD's I am suddenly lost all over again.
I downloaded this ImgBrun, and I can not burn anything with it.
When I open a file with a ripped movie in it. It is not a valid file.
In fact no file on my hard drive seems to be a valid file. Whats up? What am I missing here.
I have read the stickies and I can not figure it out.
What is a valid file?

imgburn can only burn iso file, you have to shrink into iso file before you use imgburn

I have that is my point
I do not under stand why it will not work for me.
I have movies on my hard drive that have been shrunk by shrink and those do not open in Image burn I am wondering if there is something wrong with the instal I may just uninstal it and start over.

did you shrunk to iso file? I use imgburn a little but the quality test was not as good as the dvdd so I may have to wait awhile

The file that is saved after shink backs up a movie I sometimes save to hard drive rather then burn right away.

Should I be doing something different when using shrink?

if you have vts folder then it is the wrong file, it look like a little disc

Ok yes I see that shrink creats a iso file yet this will not open in this new program. I am really thinking there may be something wrong with it. I will uninstall it and reboot and install it over again.

I did have a problem last night with some other software conflicting with other stuff maybe that messed with something in here.
I just couldnt figure out why I cant figure out a simple program LOL .

right click at the file and point to burn with imgburn insteed of dvdd

at first you have to choose a program, then you brownse to it after that I think the comp will update and you will have imgburn there

Make sure burn with Nero is unchecked.

This is what you have to do in Dvd Shrink first,like NightTran said not a normal file that you would create for Nero.
