ImgBurn v2.0.0.0 Released!

It's always a good idea to save installation programs rather than just telling internet explorer to 'run' them.

If you 'run' them, they just get downloaded to a temp folder somewhere.

If you 'save' them, you can put them somewhere on your hdd, where you can then reinstall them later if there's a problem.

You're right nwg. Burning from PgcEdit is now a thing of the past.

Try the "on-the fly" aspects of the prog, too.

I just did my first ever Verbatim DL (too expensive until now). It worked perfectly from a DL sized Video_ts folder straight to the Verb.

It also works in my Sony NS585 which hasn't played any DL+R's properly until now.

The version of ImgBurn available for download is listed with the mirror site. Watch what mirror you pick to download from because as of right now only 3 of the 6 mirrors have 2.0.0.0 and 3 are still hosting 1.3.0.0.

About overwriting - the installer takes less than a minute to run and installs new registry settings. So please use it.

if you rip a movie, and the original LB is intact, do you just click the "ignore layer break options"?

i've never used Pgcedit for DL burning before. to select a new layer break position, should you choose the best position ImgBurn picks for you?

also, are the default settings recommended?

and would you guys recommend ripping with ripit4me, then doing this, or just using ripit4me's iso mode?

The default setting are always recommended!

You might like to play around with some non-critical settings like deleting or not the ISO after burning to suit your preferences.

The LB setting is based on a grading system - the same one as is described in the techncial discussion here. But remember, where you put the LB is your decision, based on the asethetics of the situation.

No you can't just ignore it... it would just totally fill up layer 0 before moving onto layer 1 if you did that! There would basically be no positioning of the layerbreak. lol

That's what 'ignore' means, not that it just uses some existing value.

Edit: on the other hand, it might just split the image in half based on the total number of sectors, I can't quite remember

@rahzel - if you have an ISO with a LB, you can burn directly - same as before. If not, the LB dialogue box appears and you can pick a cell. Try it!
