    Booktype set properly?

Once I have completed writing the ISO to a disc how do I know if the disc was set to a dvd-rom properly?. I am using Verbatim data life plus DVD+R's with a Plextor 716A writer. Where can I tell if the copied disc is now truly a dvd-rom?

After you set it for that drive, ImgBurn will remember.

durn it's the verify part that shows booktype?

I would burn at 8x with that media and verify

Chewy..you also suggested to me a while back to increase my burn speed from 4x to 8x. Why is that?? How does a quicker burn speed produce a better burn? Do some drives perform better when asked to push their capabilities??
              Thanks.

I would use the plex tools to see which burns best 4x or 8x

but I would trust that combnation at 8X and use the time saved to verify the burn, some of those 8X verbs aren't the best?

I have never had a bad burn with the 8x verbs. I had been using -r and just recently switched over to +R of the same kind. I always have burned at 4x using the latest imgburn. I never used verify before, but still never had a bad burn. I am checking it now because I figured it wouldn't hurt.

                  I 00:59:01 Source Media Type: DVD+R (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: MCC-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x)

(the above part would show me, in the log, that the booktype was set properly to -rom correct?)
