    I still have many new floppy drives. So yes U do still use them just to make bootable disks. That way I do not waste CD/DVD disks.

      havent used/needed a floppy drive for ages

      cd and dvd is fine and sometimes i create bootable thumbdrives; they all work and i'm glad i dint have to use those crappy floppy drives any more

        I have like 10 brand new 3.5 floppy drives. So I may just keep using them until I have no more to use.

          I use CD-RW for booting. I never put one in this build a year and half ago.

          I do remember getting excited when my new Windows 98 PC had a zip drive for more storage.
          Then CD burning came and it was blown away

              I liked the zip drive too. It copied on fast. Only thing is the disks were way over priced. I just used the one that came with the machine.

              What the hell? It never wore out!
