I think Fergie knows he can turn Rooney in to pure class.I believe Everton have never seen the best of Rooney and neither have England.Old Trafford is going to be a great place to watch your football over the next couple of years.Utd now have the 2 most gifted young players in the world.Rooney and Ronaldo will turn utd back to the best.Everyone was saying Ronaldo was no replacement for Beckham.Well you can not argue Beckham was a awsome player for Utd and if think Fergie sold Beckham at the right time.Ask yourself who were the 2 stars of Euro 2004 Rooney and Ronaldo come to mind.Although i thought Milan Baros had a great tournerment to.Yep i can see utd breathing down Arsenals throat with in the next month or two.Utd have most of the Squad back now apart from Neville and Saha and long term Solskjaer.United will now be a force to reckon with.Thes defence will now become tighter again and the attack well mouth watering prospect hey.

hi guys, i'm back after several crazy weeks, i got so much work, i didnt have time to even read the forum
but now it's all a bit more quiet.
i got back just in time - ManUtd starts winning finally, and what a score last night - 6:2! rooney had a, well, nice debut - 3 goals!
watched the real-roma game, and wow, what a come back by the 'Galacticos', 2-0 down, and 4-2 in the end.
i'm watching chelsea-porto in a few minutes, so let's see how the blues do ( either of them ).
and PSG got beaten by CSKA Moscow... what is wrong with the Parisians...
Dynamo Kiev is having quite a go this season.
and finally, Monaco has a way with Depo.
      see ya

hey MPS your giants have a real shot i think this year. they got the younger of the Manning boys and he's just waiting for Warner to get one of his Trade Mark injuries for his chance at start. if he has a poor outing look for the giants to trade this rookie as early as next year. Coughlin is a Pass Offence guy and he'll be looking for a star there. Manning will be a star but I don't know how many seasons it will take for him to adjust to the pro pace. They kicked the crap out of the redskins and that was a BIG upset.
oh i almost forgot, I caught a Real Madrid vs. Roma game yesterday, i've nevr seen a team wake up in the 2nd like they did. Beckham si still dragging though, like he's asleep or something...

I reckon the winner of the champions league will come from one of 4 this year.Man Utd,Chelsea,Arsenal,Bayern Munich.Madrid will fall short this year as to will all the Italian teams.I do fancy Barcelona having a better run this year with a possible semi's

            agre on Giants.

back to the real-roma game, i wonder whhy the coach keeps ronaldo on the field for most of the game, when hes got morientes and owen on the bench, when the score stood at 4-2, owen should have been given his shot

Owen was a panic buy for Madrid i don't think the past or present coach wanted him.I think the club president felt he had to buy a big name player.Thats the point with Madrid now they only go for big names and some don't work out.I think the chairman has more of a say in players coming in and going out than the coach.Madrid will win nothing again this year partley because of that and there failiure to attract a top coach.

I agree with the amazing 6-2 victory for United, what a performance by the team. Rooney was fantastic in it as was the rest of the team.

Back to todays draw though ...... disappointing. Ill comment in full when i see the match as im just back

P.S. Saw the Arsenal goals, how cheeky was Thiery's back heel lol

Henry is a cheeky bastard, but fortunately, he usually leaves his party tricks until the game is safe. The Reyes-Henry partnership is growing nicely as well, they seem to have a competition going on between themselves for the golden boot. I didn't see the Man United match (nor the Arsenal match) because of our one and only Premier League broadcaster here (showed Everton-Spurs and the Chelsea game instead).

I watched the Chelsea game - couldn't believe how poor Liverpool were (they strung more passes to Chelsea than to their own teammates, and why is Traore and Diao even in the Premiership?), and Chelsea's attack is like a toothless <strike>tiger</strike> kitten. Teams know Chelsea are defensive, yet they come to the Bridge with a defensive lineup. If a team attacks Chelsea properly, and score a goal, then they are almost guaranteed a draw, and if they score 2, then a guaranteed victory, but teams come trying to keep Chelsea from scoring (I guess trying to go for a 0-0 draw), and end up losing 1-0. I can understand them doing this to Arsenal (and they do most of the time, until they get tired or lose concentration), but to Chelsea?

Can't really tell with the likes of PSG and Porto, who are probably no better than Villa and Spurs, both of whom took points away from Chelsea. Porto will probably be knocked out in the group stages anyway, now that their best players have all gone to bigger clubs. I actually fancy Chelsea and CSKA Moscow to go through to the knock-out rounds, and for Chelsea to slip up in Moscow (would be ironic if that happened though).

What's going on with Real Madrid though? Vieira must be feeling pretty relieved right now.

Yeah, they are certainly having a difficult time in Madrid. Deportivo are a good side, but Madrid are going through a very difficult stage at the minute. They are currently lying in 10th, with my Real Betis trailing them by 3 points in 14th place. In stark contrast to the start of last year, Barcelona seem to have gotten the act together, just look at their goal difference.
