Ok select Filters--> Render--> Lens Flare
    Select the 3rd option
    Select where you want it.
Mess with the brightness to make it look real.

    Good= Looks like real headlights
Bad = Makes whole picture white

Cheers Guys for the help. Here's my best attempt. All I did was lower the car on its suspension and add some lens flare to the headlights. It looks all right to me, but what do you think. Also, you had a zenon blue looking headlight. How would i make it look a bluer colour? Cheers

You have to change the light lens color to a light blue. Also make your lens flares a little less bright

you guys should really use paths to make your selections. it makes things easier and cleaner.

              HOW...

in the paths toolbox (tab that is default with layers toolbox)
              + create new path.
+ use pen tool to make the path that is the outline of your selection
+ paths inside of your original path will be subracted from the selection
+ When finished tracing the object with your pen tool, goto the paths toolbox again, and click that litle arrow that gives you options. Choose create selection.

I usually promote my selection to copy to a layer
Now modify your selection/layer in your own way.

Yes but when you have a laser mouse and using it on carpet it really gets jumpy

Im sorry, I must seem really dumb at the minute, but i still can get it to work. What im doing is this:

                      Filter >> Render >> Lens Flare >> Select 105 Prime lens (I actually use a 105 f2.8 myself)

Next I select the area around the light created >> Image >> Adjustments >> Hue Saturation >> Click Colorize

I still get no luck. sorry. I appreciate your help!
