I don't mean to sound argumentative but, how did you determine that it had SONY ("ARccOS") copy protection, if you successfully used SmartRipper to simply rip the movie? SmartRipper is NOT capable of dealing with the "ARccOS" copy protection, should it be in the body of the "movie only" .VOBs.
"The vast majority" means MOST, not all, so what is the point of saying that you know of some DVDs that aren't DVD-9s?
We have effectively "hijacked" this thread - and shouldn't have.

Vance 43211 - because that cycle redundancy error came up when I use dvd shrink to rip it. Everytime shrink don't work, I use my method.
you seem to get mad at my answers because you haven't heard of them and you want to debate them. they work.
we don't have to do it the same way for the same result. I have been in this dvd burning game way before you. I use to have countless guides over the internet.
I got tired of getting thousands of email, that I was getting everyday asking me how to burn dvds, so I got out of the game

As I'm sure you're aware, the vast majority of commercial DVDs are double-layered, including "movie-only" filesets that by themselves exceed the 4.37Gb ("4.7GB") in size. Therefore, virtually all DVD rips require compressing.

Vance 43211 - that last sentence is wrong, most of the dvds that I watch are dvd 5, also when you strip extra's as long as a high bitrate movie is 90 (lot of movies) minutes or less it will fit on a dvd5
