pending on your m/b, mem & your settings - you could set your fsb to up to "200" (or a little higher). your mem cas/ras configs should be set correctly.

I already set it to 200 (200 was the highest setting it could go), I got an error message about it.

I have 512 MB of RAM, I plan on getting another stick of 512. I have 2 Intake fans, and 2 exhaust fans but, I still think my CPU is getting to hot. I had it set a 166 but, after running DVD Decrypter, then DVD Shrink my computer either rebooted or gave me the blue screen of death. I might need a new heat shrink too.

          Its a ASUS motherboard.

I have since reverted back to 133.

surf around. look for charts refering to "your hardware", but mostly look for the ras/cas timer settings (they all differ), or do it by "trial-n-error".

Would updating the chipset drives do anything?

that all depends what you stand to gain from the update
read the update notes & see if it's worth it.

there are other means of speeding up your sys (software only).
i'd rather stick with the old fashioned way (bios). sadly my m/b doesn't allow me to change my speeds (to over-clock).

good luck, & remember to take it slowly .... a bit a a time

Well, actually I was under the impression changing your FSB speed is not technically "over clocking"?

it's more a ballancing act of all the timings in the chips set, mem & their features. but if you going to speed up your fsb, then you're also after a faster cpu speed too.
the chances are - your mem is falling short of it's expectations (hope i'm wrong).
your cpu speed can most likely be overclocked by "0.2" (without having too many probs) .. eg: 2.4 can go to 2.6

                            i'll stop here.
"amd" is not good for overclocking. they run way too hot for starters, & most need a special fan/s just to maintain the normal temp (without overclocking). but that doesn't mean that it's not impossible to get a little extra.
once you change the timing of one component, then most of the others will also go out of whack too.
for your amd, you will also need a good temp monitor to keep your eyes so it doesn't go very high & cause damage/problems.

(sorry, can't stay here & type for too long in this possition. need to move. back problems. but i will keep checking back here & answer/reply back)

I need to get some faster rated disc first but, so far I have burnt 2 at 8X. No problems what so ever!
