Just don't expect it to be the same level of horror/volience as it was made for TV.

I didn't see it that way, I think they both are very different from each other and shouldn't be compared to one another, with that said I felt the movie was rushed and lacked detail unlike the TV series.I do agree with nwg it would have been nice if it was made with out the TV restraints but I think the director did a good job keeping the movie tension filled and entertaining In a nut shell I felt the TV show was better and more true to the book, I also think the movie was good and nobody can play a nut job better then Jack. Like I said they are two different movies and you have to keep that in mind if you plan on watching bothOn a side note I found a great site for horror movie reviews it's called deadpit.com
(I hate writing reviews I am no good at it )
I like the Avatar LT have you seen his new show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" it's funny as hell I haven't missed an episode yet

The film version is the version to watch if you want the horror/voilence but the mini series is still better if you want to watch a better King adapted story. The mini series also has the original King ending.

An example of toning down is the axe is now a croquet mallet !

For those that like stand up comedians

I just picked up a 5 Disc set of Laughing out Loud America's Funniest Comedians.
I tell ya I could stop laughing. 5 hours of stand up from America's Top stand up comedians. I havent seen it to rent yet one of Sam's club Christmas items. Funny discs though. Worth the $14.99 I paid for them.

I don't know, neither why the maker of Open Water had to involve Jaws in it. Just because Open Water has sharks in it, it has nothing to do with the Jaws plot. I think Open Water was a downfall. All through it, it had two people floating like corks in the water through 90% of the film. As we all know, it was based on a true story and in reality when it happened, surely people must have known two people were missing. In the film, to bring it more to life, there should have been scenes of people reporting the couple missing and there should have been scenes of failing rescue teams.

I don't think the budget had room for such scenes,LOL.

They must have had a tiny budget because if I remember correctly, the film was just over 70 minutes.
