Well, if you have 6 user IDs - you can build up a database of questions. You can also play within a short time of each other and get the same questions as one of your other IDs.

I am trending towards a policy of one ID per family. Already Firey (my fiancee) has retired from the quiz. Tough luck if family members wanna play against each other. There is too much cheating going on, and one of the reasons I started this quiz was to control it and ensure fair play.

I am ashamed to say this has happened on "my watch". It is unfair to honest players.

But I will implement a policy shortly, when I have finally decided what to do.

Honest players can rest assured this will be rectified and scores from less than honest players can be taken back, even on the last days of the month.

Players who reguarly score 10/10 in 30 seconds or less will be earmarked for special attention. So, play fair and have some fun. Play unfair and I will ban you and name you.

THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A BIT OF FUN, PEOPLE!!!

Well I think I only had 10/10 once or twice and my son never had 10/10

I have also noticed that when he played he got a different set of questions then the ones I was getting. If thats what you have to do then I wll let my son play on my user name and I wont play ... latley neither of us have played the end of the school year is upon is and my son has so much going on I think he forgot about the triva for now. LOL

Good one blu - some silly times going in at the mo - take today's 22 secs for e.g I can't even read em that quick..... 9/10 is my best in ages and 2 Q's were just guesses

Winners never cheat and cheaters never win.
I know this probably doesn't make the honest members feel any better.
You are not to blame in any way, shape or form. These people lost sight of the true nature of a game a long time ago.
I alway tell my children that these type of people make me feel better about myself everyday. Who the hell would ever want to be like them?

I agree, I don't know why you would cheat when there is nothing to gain. I guess that it is just in some people's nature to cheat. I have good days and bad days with the quiz (more bad then good unfortunately). Half the fun of it is to see what your mind retains from these movies. Alot of my good times have been the result of repeat questions, in fact in one quiz I had the same question 2x in the same quiz. The bad days are the questions on movies I have never seen or the result of 2nd guessing myself.

It's just supposed to be fun, it's too bad some people don't know how to have plain old fun anymore!

I just don't get the cheating either...I play to have fun..really who cares who wins or not...are you putting it on your resume for gods sake??? I know it is easy to say when you do well on a regular basis but even I don't understand the point of cheating...You are doing a good job Blooie!!

Furiousg, I don't think you should remove it from your resume. But I do think you have it in the wrong position, it should be above the CCOMB, or at least on the same level.

I'm probably worse at cheating than I am playing the game, so I just have to take my chances with the game. I really have never understood cheating. I used to get so mad at my son for using cheat codes on games.

Policy regarding multiple accounts/IDs

Right - here is the new policy (well, the old policy restated really).

Only 1 ID per family is permitted. All multiple IDs have already been erased. If anyone registers with multiple IDs in the future, they will all be erased and banned from the quiz. I will check new registrants daily and match them against the list of members.

@mamamo and dadymo. I'm sorry that a few bad apples have to spoil fun for families. Your IDs are current for the next 24 hours. Please nominate which player you wish to play under. If you do not nominate which, I'll flip a coin and decide that way. EDIT: The "mo's" have decided that mamamo will be the continuing player - thanks for that!

@steveareno - I certainly do not believe you have been cheating - not for an instant, but under this policy, I have deleted 2 of your family members. Your ID is intact.

@furiousg (the resume man) - I am sorry but I have deleted Nessypoo. Again, no-one is saying you were cheating - not for a second.

@jmet - same applies - I have kept your ID. If you wish to retire that ID and register either the missus or Gabi again, please let me know.

Several others have had their IDs deleted (including, as indicated above, Fire_Soul, my lovely fiancee!, which has the terrible effect of elevating Jack Lurker into top spot for January!!!!!!! I guess congratulations are in order to my mate Jack).

Sorry it has come to this where family members can't play each other and enjoy a bit of fun 'cos of cheats. But it's the only way to keep things on the level.

Thanks blue I will tell my wife and daughter. We will just take turns. I could not believe 22 secs when it took me 70 secs just to get 5 right.
