I use a Case Logic 320-Disc CD Album i got from Bestbuy. My original's are stored in a box in my closet. I just keep the back-ups laying around. Is there something better out there to keep em in? Should I be using Cases like the originals come in? or is this just as good? Those cases are just so damn expensive! Id like to store all my movies in a rack, and print out inserts and everything. So is there somewhere to get those cases cheaper? What does everyone else use to store your back-ups ?

same here. walmart 50 pack clear jewel cases (multicolored). all stored on their edges neatly in a great big old dresser in a cool dry dark place. like soup, the only time a disc is out of the case is the trip between my hand and the dvd player tray. none of my discs have any scratches."One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century". I should let you know about another neat little gadget I have.I only use it for storing my blanks. It was bought at the aforementioned establishment ( don't want to get into ad trouble) but I think you can get them pretty well anywhere. It is a small caddy holds 60 discs in double sided sleeves with protection in between. It is about 1' long made by an outfit called Fellowes.Completely sealed you just push the front & it opens up.Push to close & it is sealed again.

I get the multi-colored slim jewel cases at the local Sam's Club for 12.95/100.
They are Memorex brand, not that it matters. I get covers form sites such as Generetic, which is a pay site, but worth the money. I then resize them in photoshop to a height of 4.78" and print them on plain paper (they're only back-ups, remember), cut them out and insert them. Good enough for me. I also change my original covers for these high resolution, custom covers because they are so much better.

3 cd/dvd wallets, started in jewel cases(full) sorted alpha in drawer,
went slimline to save space, too flimsy. A 200 cd/dvd wallet from walmart
is less than 20$, that's 10c/dvd storage, what is even more efficent
is paper sleeves. Looked for over a year for a product to store the sleeves in.
A friend that does custom plexiglass fabrication and I even designed a
prototype. Think open shoe box with dividers and indexes.Comment

i know some people who almost never put their discs in cases. they leave them on the coffee table, t.v set or whatever data side up. it sits there for months and has 2 inches of dust and fingerprints on it. something a sound beatin would fix i'm sure"One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century".
