So I guess they don't use the winged ones to make roo-burgers then.Those feathers getting stuck in your mouth would taste like crap.

Cooking roo is an art - very few restos do it well. But when it is done well, it tastes a bit like venison. Apparently, the nutritionists tell us it's bloody good for you, but somehow I think it's a bit iffy eating our national symbol.

People around here say the same for venison. I do not think that is true I think it depends more on what that animal is feeding from.

I have a few friends that hunt deer and one of them always has good tasting meet. He also hunts on private grounds where the deer are not eating garbage.

never had the Roo though the only place you can see on of those here is in a ZOO.
Deer and Bear are good eats though.

And, I suspect you are right about their diets (not that I know anything about cooking).

Since the roo is the national symbol and is questionable about eating. Does that apply to Canadians whose national symbol is the beaver?

There isn't much to eat on beavers, they are like muskrats - worth more for the pelts.

Maybe they've never eaten it. I bet it's yummy though (not like badly fed and cooked roo).
