    I fixed a computer!

I am so happy right now!

My dad has this coworker that had a broken laptop, and I fixed it

    Here's the details:
It was Windows 98, 5GB HD and 60 MB RAM (slowww eh)
He got a virus and some guy wiped the hard disc (too bad he didn't ask me to backup his data... oh well!)
They reinstalled Windows and got a black screen.

    I fixed it by:
Installing my Windows XP CD on it, in doing so I deleted the partition and reformatted in FAT32. For legal reasons, I took XP off then and put 98 back on. It runs now. Cool to think I fixed someone's PC at such a young age... I should make a business and make money that way

No, I did this earlier today, that's why under the Album Art thread I was in the middle of a reply when I left and when I posted it there were lots more replies.

Hehe I think that guy is going to give me a Micro Center giftcard as a thankyou, I always love Micro Center giftcards

@PA2004, I already said that my mom buys all my ink currently, hopefully that will stay the same for the new printer (assuming that I get it that is)

                            Will do!

What's wrong with using the XP disc though? It formats the disc right, that's what counts. I don't like the W98 CD, as it doesn't format for you. So if your drive becomes unformatted like his did, you're screwed
