Gandolfini's surgery delays 'Sopranos'

The Sopranos star James Gandolfini has had to undergo "unexpected" knee surgery, resulting in a delay in showing the final episodes of the hit show.

Although Gandolfini's surgery itself has only pushed the original January release date back by a few weeks, the start of the season has been delayed further in order to avoid a clash with the Super Bowl in America.

HBO chairman Chris Albrecht confirmed that the remaining installments will be delayed by roughly two months, Associated Press reports.

Albrecht promised that it would be worth the wait though. He told the Television Critics Association: "I know the story lines for the final eight [episodes], and I am absolutely positively certain that when the curtain comes down on Sopranos, the vast, vast, vast majority of people will say it's one of the great things of all time."

Well it's said to be better to have experienced and lost than to never have experienced at all.

I guess we figured if we had to go through the withdrawls we're taking you with us. It doesn't surprise me in the least about the delay. If things went on time that would be a shock.

I'm just about caught up. I am gonna watch Ssn5 Dsc4 tommorrow and then I'll get the 6th season and milk it until the next season starts, I guess I'll be getting HBO, huh? .

Thanks for the link Chewy I can't wait for this to come out I only got to see season 6 once that's because of my HD incident.I have yet to hear from dishnetwork on what actually caused my hd to erase everything

Well at least you got to see it 'once'!

I gotta wait to see what happens next. I was truly disappointed on the exit of my favaorite 'bombshell' Ade. She was gorgeous to look at. Stupid Christopher!, I guess he couldn't give up his cushy lifestyle for his true love. Well I guess his true love was actually that 'cushy lifestyle'.
