AVG pro, and I swear by it. I installed the free version on all of my family's P.C.'s. Never had a problem with any of them.Jack

No, I used to use Avast and it's pretty good. I just prefered AVG thats all. I tried Antivir as well and that seemed ok.Jack

hey guys, I went today and found a file and nothing sees any harm in it,
but after you execute you get to watch an hourglass for a few seconds then it tells you it's not a valid format. I'll be glad to email to anyone that wants to test your AV protection. and it'll make a few hundred copies of itself in a common folder for you to share and av won't see them either. drops winlog.exe in the sys32 folder and an entry in msconfigm ctrl/alt/del quits working.Comment

So of all these protections, which are the free ones?? I think AntiVir is free, but I do not know about the others.
Because Norton 06 Auto protect is a huge memory hog, which I hadn't noticed until I formatted and was running without for a bit.Comment
