Did somebody say morels? Can't wait. We got about 8" in Omaha by noon today. Saying another 8 by Tuesday morning. Was by your city Saturday night and was worried about the weather all that was there was wind BR7.
Daughter had softball games in the Dakota Dome Vermillion. Should play there all the time don't have to worry about snow and cold.

Well our city used to be called little Chicago maybe mother nature thought it would be a funny joke to send some wind our way .But anyway we got that nickname because there used to be a lot of mafia activity here. Here is another little bit of trivia about our city we are the sister city of New Orleans Now I just wasted 1 min of your life with useless trivia about Sioux City I can't wait for the morels Have you tried them with spaghetti or boiled them in water and butter and had them with steak good stuff But my favorite way is to fry em up

The good old USA is a bit behinde the times most other countries use the metric system and have been for years it is lot more accurate. Kind like Military time and customary time.

Metric system is actually easier to use once you know it.

Easier but not as accurate. In the manufacturing world metric hardware cannot compare with the diversity of American Standard hardware. Not only that "metric" sounds too foreign. And the USA is not behind the times. We're just being pragmatic. And we aren't old, we just act that way.

Well for what it's worth, the US gave the good old metric system at try back in the mid 70's. I remember our gas pumps were all converted to show liters. But it seemed there were a lot of stubborn people that got... um... confuuuuuuuuuuused.... the powers that be decided to shelf the metric system and return to the 'U.S. Standard'.

And military time... buwahahaha, one of my projects for my electronics degree was to build an alarm clock from a kit. I modified the circuit to show military time and got an A+. Everyone that would look at my clock would trip out...chortle.....

                              Regards,
                              Cam

That reminds of the clock used in the show 24. They have to use the 12 hour system. Apparantly, people got confused when showing 13:00 to 24:00. Is there really people who don't know how to use a 24 hour clock system?
