I had a 76 aspen slant 6, body fell apart, but durn thing never used oil.
After 4K miles 1/2 quart low. Speedometer broke at 160K, I drove it for another few years.
Sold it for 75$, saw it still running years later.
can't kill the slant 6. a few years back we had an old dodge that was being scrapped and decided to have some fun. drained the crankcase and ran this thing with the gas pedal nearly floored then stood back to watch the show. thing ran for nearly a minute or so untill it threw a rod. lol, that was fun

My first car was a red 1978 Honda CVCC. Called it the Happenin' Mobile. Lived in San Jose, Ca at the time. Me and My friends would cut school and go to the beach. To get over the Santa Cruz Mts, I had to be going 110 mph, have it floored, and turn off the A/C. By the time I got to the summit I'd be going 20 mph, if there weren't any problems in traffic. If there were, we had to turn around and start over!
60 corvair, best heater ever made, gas catalytic, he11 to control in the snow tho, unsafe at any speed.
Junk yard wouldn't even take it! and now it's worth a lot, wish I had kept it.
My dad wouldn't let me buy the edsel! About 10 years later when they topped 10K$ and later hit 20K$,
I kept ribbing him.
