I think you hit the nail on the head fg...Slyvia will just come at ya..so big and strong but not alot of skills..but when you are that big and strong sometimes that makes up for a lack of skill..but I do agree he needs a better ground game..sometimes ground and pound is not enough...and it makes the Mrs and the girls laugh when I talk like GSP, even though it is an act it cracks them up...

I finally figured out who GSP reminds me of....Inspector Clouseau.
Especially during all the prefight hype they've been playing today on Spike, he says "Matt Hughes, I'm going to show you the color of my glouves" (not a typo).

I can't believe the results guys!!! I'm shocked at the St. Pierre-Hughes and the Sylvia-Monson outcomes. Not so much who won, but how they won.
Looks like Penn is in line for a rematch and Vera is in line to take on Sylvia.MBK

Absolutely. Vera made Mir look like a fool ( which I expected ) That kid is GOOD. I think he will take it to Sylvia on his feet.
As for the Welterweight bout, that's how I seen it happening. I remember their first fight, and GSP owned the entire first round but got silly going for a kimura without guard=ARMBAR!! I know St pierre has improved a lot since then too. The only better way I could have seen it ending was GSP by rear naked choke...KARMA!!!Comment

Not much to see in Monson/Sylvia....25 minutes of Sylvia staying away from Monson sticking a jab in his face. It actually looked like Sylvia was scared to get close to him, it was kinda pathetic. Sylvia should have been able to demolish him from the outside, but he only did enough to get the decision.
In his post fight, he said that he had wanted to finish the fight with a knockout...but I couldn't help thinking..." You have to throw a punch to knock him out!! " Like waiting to win the lottery without buying a ticketComment

Tim did very well on the ground. Mind you he had 30lbs on Monson, and when Monson was in full guard he couldn't even reach Sylvia's head, but Sylvia could punch him all he wanted LOL It was kind of sad really. heheheComment

Wow was he impressive. He was so dynamic, inside leg kicks, outside leg kicks, sweep kick, high kicks...a sweet stiff jab, beauty left hook. And most of all Hughes got his arms around him, but couldn't take him down

Watched the BODOG fight USA vs Russia last night....the best fight on the card was the womens fight (yes I said womens), I was very impressed with the ladies...the rest was pretty bad and uneventful. They did announce that Fedor Ameliananko has signed up to fight in January for BODOG on PPV...that should be interesting.

I have heard rumors of Aleks Emelianenko coming to UFC...that should add some spice to the heavyweight division!!
Was there anyone you knew of fighting on the card Loco?? I didn't recognize anyone from the commercials. And yes, oddly enough, I watched one of the womens fights a little while ago...and I was also impressed I was likening a womens MMA fight to a womens boxing match...but they were fairly skilled and executed well.
