Are you talking about my 1969 disc that was backed up with DVD shrink

Funny part is I backed it up in 1969 then I was born in 1970

I have no idea how that date came up like that on the nero quality scan. LOL

Looking through all of the threads I see Mill too has a 1969 back up LOL there must have been something up with shrink or the movie that was backed up thats too funny. So I am not the only one with a 1969 backup

bad date I will have to assume it was dvd2one's doing?

I think Mill may be on to something on the disc I got a 1969 date I was also using nero to burn with Shrink to back up the movie. LOL

Nero seems to be the common denomonator here.

Axel F theme by Harold Faltermeyer on 45 backed up to cassette. Same song over and over on the same cassette. I don't think I can find it anymore.

I think my first was The Matrix, used it for demoing, can't find the back up anymore, still have the original thanks to the back up!

If anyone used Shrink. It can't be before April 2003 as that is when the first version came out. It didn't have burning capability with Nero at that time. So, it was done manually.
Back end 2003 sounds about right, it may even have been a bit later. Early 2004 doesnt sound too unrealistic. I found the original and it still plays but it wont open in Shrink. I get an invalid navigation structure, so I have no idea what I used to back it up, i've tried pretty much everything I could get my hands on at some point.

Shrink was the first and only software I have used. My Dad uses DVD2One with auto burning with CopytoDVD as he can't use anything more complicated. He still makes errors such as burning a disc with the wrong language.

nwg, do you still have a copy of 1.04? I would love a copy if you have it.

                            Thanks.

Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them that got it.

It was the first version that although didn't come out public, had macrovision removal for the first time. Version 2 came out a couple months later with a complete new gui.

More info about 1.04 revision history here.

I do have all the other versions though including the betas.

Is this inquery specific to video DVD backups only?

If not....I have backups of data tapes (the huge reel to reels) that were duplicated to other reel to reel data tapes from 1972.

I also have backups of cassette tapes and 5" floppy and backups of the old 756k single layer floppies, and about 400 or so 1.44 mb floppies that are on data CD burned in 1994 using a Phillips CD-R only drive.

The oldest direct to CD-R backup of programs downloaded and things from all of the PC's I have is from the same year I burned all those floppies to CD, 1994.

The oldest movie backup I have is from VCD's...the Star Trek VCD movie collection, 1997. The oldest movie DVD backup I have is only a few months old of this year, still have alot of backing up to do of movie DVD. And thanks to this forum and all those who pointed me in the right direction to accomplish those movie DVD backups and Pal to NTSC conversions.
