what is your oldest backup

If I still remember correctly, backed up in 2000, Body Heat (loved that movie), DVD+R, Ritek-R03-01, full screen with a Plextor 708A.

DVDDecrypter in IFO mode for the rip and chapters file
DVD2AVI for the d2v file
TMPGEnc Plus for the m2v file and compressed to 4.7gb
VobEdit for the AC-3 audio and subtitles files
IFOEdit to author video, audio, subtitles, chapters
MusicMatch Plus to burn to a DVD-5

The DVD-5 disk has a stick on label on the disk and is stored upright in a full size CD case with front and back custom cut covers and custom spline identification.

Still plays and works great.

"Meet the Parents" Nov 14, 2005 (Disc#1)

This is the first disc I ever did. I split "Meet the Parents" over two discs.

Done on Memorex (1st spindle ever bought) and I was pissed off that the LG would not burn it at 16X as the firmware would only allow 4X==>

I did not even know how to use Shrink to shrink a movie. I only used it to split a movie. Compare the burn date to my join date. (I did not even have my first post until Jan 2006).

I guess I will be redoing this one in the upcoming months!!

we seem to be getting our years mixed up, we got a plex 708 when they first came out, which was late summer 2003, we paid a premium online in bulk(1.00$) a disk for media that would burn at 8x in it. It was a rip cause it was a 4x dvd+r mid. It was fall 2003 before we found real 8X media.

course that was one of my worst burns in over 200 disks I spot checked
it might just have been a coincidence it was a memorex and 2 1/2 years old
