I thought the same thing myself when I saw them! See a lot of those formations (not the ice, sadly) in the LaCrosse area, too!

Are you WI too Aegmorgil? I have been to LaCrosse a few time I never knew there were the same rock formations there as well. Been to the Dells a lot and Lake Delton though. LOL

From WI originally. Lived in Minneapolis for awhile, now a Kalamazoo resident. Apparently I have some sort of warm winter phobia! LaCrosse area has a lot of that, but not on the Mississippi. A lot of the smaller rivers that feed it wind through areas like that, though. It's a pretty rugged area considering that everything around it is pretty much pounded flat by glaciers. Makes for some nice canoe trips!
