Yeah, I have free hour in band until the end of the year... but my mom thinks I'm not doing my homework! I just do it during the free hour!

    Sigh, oh well.

[quote=drfsupercenter;532650]My mom used to do that... but then she stopped (probably because she's lazy and still accusing me of being that way)

I have been reading this thread since you started it a couple of days ago and have been kind of amused by your youthful ignorance until now...As a Mom myself, I cannot believe you would call your mom lazy just because you are upset about your punishment. It seems that that's what all of your complaints boil down to. Next time you consider calling your mom lazy, consider that this woman carried you for nine months, went through who knows how much labor, fed you, clothed you, rocked you and held you when you ran fevers and were sick and would probably fight like a lioness to protect you.

I am pretty new to these boards, have only been here a couple of months and really like it here. Love to pick up on good advice from people like Cynthia, Chewy and Blutach as well as many others that are too numerous to name. You seem like a good kid, just try to understand for a moment where your parents are coming from and why they won't lift your punishment. Punishments are supposed to hit you where it hurts so that you think about it next time and hopefully won't do it again. They are trusting you to abide by their punishment, show them that they can trust you. It won't kill you to break away from the computer for 2 or more weeks. Hang in there Danny!

Sorry for jumping up on my soapbox everyone! Just felt compelled to say something after reading a certain post. LOL!

Just to inform , sounds like complaining to me!!!. Do you thing you would be missed here?

You stated you would not be here much, I don't thing you missed a day, You've already called your Mom lazy and now I guess your insinuating your father is stupid because you fixed their computer and because he wanted to reformat and again stating you should not fix their computers!

I was thinking of the day you moved out on your on but now I'm thinking they should throw you out when your 18 and put you on your own to do everything on your own and to pay for your own college education if your not to lazy to go. Or do you think you parents owe it to you to pay for your college education too?

One of these days reality is gonna jump up and smack you right in the face and your gonna say WTF was that!!!!

We don't care why you got bad grades, drf. Your parents have determined that one.

What we care about is your disrespect for people who love you. Your grades are irrelevant. We take your parents' side, because we know they are right in managing their child - irrespective of whether you get straight As or not; it is their decision based on their judgement and we support that decision making process till you come of age (which according to your posts would seem to be a long long long way off!).

@drf - I'm not trying to be hard on ya for no reason but I am not gonna treat you with kid gloves here (and I hope nobody else does either) and maybe your parents shouldn't do it anymore either. If you want sympathy in the situations you put yourself in got to a kid chat room some place and look for sympathy.

I have been showing all your "my parents are unfair" threads to my 11 yr old son. I have to thank you because they have been a great teaching tool for me.

This thread has taught him how parents of all walks of life still see eye to eye when raising their children. We are not ganging up on our kids or being unfair. We are making sure they do the best they can because if they make it a habit, it will be the most important tool they have to help them succeed.

Your threads also taught me a lesson. I know now, without a doubt, that I have the most thoughtful, generous, caring, intelligent 11 yr old son in the world.

DRF, don't you wish you used your Mulligan and this thread was never started?

I doubt anybody would have noticed that you weren't on the forum as much as usual, as it seems you are still posting here everyday anyways. Right?

We all disappear for a few days here and there to take care of that thing called a life!

Sticking up for yourself in this case is just plain rebelliousness and displaying the need (as most teenagers do) to never possibly consider you might be ........... wrong! I mean, how could a kid of 15 be wrong? He knows everything and his folks know SFA, right?

Not seeing your side of the so-called story is because you are out and out wrong (as well as unappreciative, self-centred and insecure - the very opening of this thread proves that).

Now, enough of this bunkum before we suspend you for 3 weeks and enforce your folks' requirements.
