    Re

    WOw,

On the rempeg guide, it shows exactly how to do it.

Open up the sample.cffl file, use notepad to do this.
    Keep the top line (cffl)
underneith put the paths to the vob files you have like they show you, you need to delete all the crap that is there that they have put, and enter your own, for example
    CFFL
    C:\Starwars Original\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB
    C:\Starwars Original\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_2.VOB
    C:\Starwars Original\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_3.VOB
    C:\Starwars Original\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_4.VOB
    C:\Starwars Original\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_5.VOB
    C:\Starwars Original\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_6.VOB.
Save as filename.cffl on notepad select all files and not txt files.
You need to make sure it does not have the *.txt at the end, like filename.cffl.txt
You will need to click on folder options on your PC and ensure you have unticked Hide familier file extensions.

    Hope that helps abit

          looks much longer than that

since it is buried in c drive behind several folders. It is much longer than just C:\duh dum\video etc etc.

its more like C:\Dvd|Movies\destination\C:duh dum\video etc etc.

            like this

            C:\DVD\Movies\destination\Starwars Original\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB

            like this very long.

            too long perhaps.???

Hi Paul. Firstly, thanks for the effort you went into by making this guide. It rocks.

I had a couple of problems along the way and was hoping you could help out.

1] ReMPEG2 - While encoding, it only gets to 99% and never actually finishes the final VOB file. hence I miss the final minute of the film.

2] The final burned movie works on my laptop/PC dvd player but not on my stand alone. My stand alone player does support DVD-R because I have burned other home movies on the same disc and they work fine.

I noticed in Nero, under the UDF/ISO option I didn't have the extra selection options that your version of nero has. Which version do you use and would it make a difference?

                I'm using a pioneer DVR-103 and nero 5.5.5.6

                thanks.

                Johan

                  Multiple Episode Copy

First off, thanks so much for this guide. I am an extreme newbie with 9 complete movie backups under my belt. I simply follow your guide to the letter and viola. Nothing fancy, just the movie and the audio I like.

I have searched, but cannot find related info to help me backup a multi-episode DVD. I am currently trying the Larry Sanders show Season 1, Disk 1 of 3. It has 5 episodes and i have ripped each separately.

I simply want to back them up onto one DVD. I do not care if I can jump from one to the other, but that would be a nice addition.

                  TIA

                  dafried

                    Re armzfx

After a few times my Rempeg stops at 99%, I delete it and re-install it,

As for Nero, if you dont have these options, download the latest version, You need to be able to DE-SELECT Joilet file system, as the new DVD players and PS2 dont like it.

If you have any other probs, call me

                    Paul

                      Re dafried

All I can suggest is you backup the complete DVD, and use the option in IFO Edit to make two DVDs, Or, you will have to look to see what vobs contain the info you need and rip them, I can give you a 80% bet that it will be in one set of vobs as if it is a large film?

                      Hope that helps

                        Thanks to Paul

                        Thanks Paul.

I can't beleive something as simple as unchecking "joilet" in NERO would fix everything.

Burned "Bad Company" and it works like a dream.

You're a good man and worth more money

                        regards

                        Johan

                          Re armzfx

Hey thanks for that, the only way to find out anything, is to ask, ask people keep saying to me, the only silly question is the ine that is not asked,

Good luck with any future backups you make, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

                          Paul

                            Thanks for the quick response.

I'll try it when I get home tonight and let you know.

Thanks once again for the Guide and the support.

                              rempeg

                              Hey Paul,

                              just a quick one...

Is there any reason I couldn't use dvd2avi to make the m2v file or perhaps another program?

rempeg is a very buggy program. Keeps crashing, rebooting my machine etc.. And I thought win2000 was stable!!!

rempeg seems to be ok with my laptop and winxp home but obviously the laptop doesn't have the grunt of my main machine.

                              thanks

                              Johan

                                Hey guys!!!
                                I got a problem
                                I have a pioneer 1x dvr-104
                                I just upgraded-it to 2x from www.firmwares.co.uk/
I also upgraded the firmware to 1.40 from 1.33.
I just did all the steps for backing-up movies, but this one is messing with my head.
I just backed-up fight club and the thing is that I burned it at 2x and the thing is that at the 2 hour part of the movie the movie freezes but the movie still plays but the screen is still frozen.
The DVD-R that I am using is sony general ver. 2.0.
                                I bought them on www.ebay.com.
I don`t know if it`s because I burned the movie at 2x or is it because I upgraded the firmware to 1.40.
I haven`t tried the movie in my PS2 yet.
I just tried to burn copy the bad version of fight club and burn it at 1x but the same still happens...
I just burned godfather 3 under firmware 1.33 at 2x but I still haven`t tried to watch it yet.
I still don`t know if it`s the media(sony general ver. 2.0)DVD-R`s that I am using,The firmware up to 1.40 or the pioneer bring at 2x...
                                I need your help guys...
                                I will answers any questions,please...

                                One more question guys:

I burned/back-up alot of movies with this guide but for the first time, for some reason,I can`t back-up this movie(SIGNS).

The movie comes out of IFOEDIT at 4.39gb and I load it in REMPEG but the thing is that I always have the cffl as a text and it loads in rempeg fine and works, but this time it didn`t.
It always stops at about 85-95 % of finishing...

I read the latest posts threads and I am going to try to put the text into a cffl.(signs.cffl)
I will let you know what happens!!!

                                Thanks.
