I have one simple request, if at all possible to allow TitleWriter to be called by command line by the ifos or vob.
Dirio49 -- Not really so simple if you think about it
TW can already be called by commandline MenuMaker can't.(trivial)

To customize it would have probably have to invoked by using a TWM saved file with more movies then compiliation.
The movie thumbs select in automatically at 10% of vob length and TW already has a way to "Name" each movie and Dvdvolumename via commandline.
Readding original menus might be a bit sticky (not so trivial)

So it is doable. The commandline might be somewhat tedious if you wanted to readd original menus.
What Are you trying to do --create a batch -- Rip -- DVDShrink --Tw -- burn
Sounds a bit Dangerous to me

I'll consider it but not for the next release though -- I want to stabilize the current version

Jinjin_jp -- Since 95% of the time I stomp on the "Generic" vts menus anyway with original menus I just don't see the need for it.
It takes the same amount of "rendering" to create thumbnails as text buttons.
Since I have to create 3 images per page it doesn't matter much as to content (rendering time would go through the roof either way)

That menu isn't pretty but its functional. I think of it as an extension to the remote control

As to the Help file -- Haven't uploaded changes -- the old html files render fine on my sys yet but what I see in your screenshot isnt good. I'll bet its a screen resolution dependency problem. I'll look at the html source and see what Nvu is doing. Whats your screen resolution?.

And dirio49 -- feeling fiesty today
I think I might have disabled TW cli at some beta test along the line
            reactivated now
the old /M is now /MENU
Your request is /MAKEMENU [optional filename .. a TWM file]

rest of the cli's in help --Useful stuff

been lightly testing -- seems solid

in attachment below -- Night All

              @FA
All i want is a simple open
              titlewritter.exe c:\movie\vidoe_ts.fio

and it does nothing, it just opens the movie found in that folder, in the same way as if i were to open it manually. This will make it easy to be called by other programs.

              thanks

              BTW
I looked at the help file and /MENU and /F , it did not open them.
Well i tried 4.12 because the latest one was not approved

The CLI command interface is only ON in the above attachment -- not the 4.12 full release at the link.

You can't 'just" open a file via commandline it will open see nothing is being done and close. The CLI is currently for actions not shortcuts within the gui.

                For ex ...\TitleWriter.exe /F Mycompiliation\video_ts\video_ts.ifo /MAKEMENU /T1 Movie 1

will open video_ts.ifo ---Alter DVDTEXT for Title 1 to Movie 1--- Create a menu -- with DVDTEXT and thumbs ... Add the menu then exit.

I'll think about just loading a file via commandline

Yes, i think i mean just to load a movie folder, not to do any thing with the file

Kind of similar to what happens when you call vobblanker, it just loads the project.

                  Hopefully is not too hard.
                  thanks

                    Actually its Trivial

In the Below attachment the CLI command
/FGUI file will open the file in gui. The file MUST be full path to video_ts.ifo
This will override any subsequent CLI commands (You can't have the GUI and Action CLI's)

This Is not part of the general release 4.12 at the site but will be available in the next release

At some point admin is going to chew me a new one for having to authorize so many attachments (at least I'm deleting the old ones)

it crashed when i run the command line

                          "C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\TitleWriterVer4_11\TitleWriter.exe" /FGUI "E:\movie\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO"
but if i take out the qoutes, it does not crash

                          "C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\TitleWriterVer4_11\TitleWriter.exe" /FGUI E:\Movie\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO

Dirio49 -- Ooooh the bug you found -- Had to Upload Rev 4.13 to site as that was a bad one -- It shouldn't have locked up like that.
Tw should have just Updating the Log/exited when faced with a bad file name In CLI mode
(To TW in CLI that was a bad filename -- ' 's can be ligitimate in some cases as part of filepaths ) and the named file wasn't found

Theres always ambiguity in batch/executable files as to what is what when dealing with filepaths with embedded spaces. Some Proggies use the spaces as delimiters some use whats between quotes -- TW does neither -- its strictly whats after the "/Command<space>" until the next / or end of string.
Anyway on the /FGUI I'm now stripping the "" 's.

So Many problems arise in so many different batches/exe's that can be traced to that single ambiguity.
Quoted strings help but not always. An Example is mplex.exe some cli commands require quoted strings others crash when using them.
I no longer use embedded spaces in any filepath. if I want a seperator I use underscores -- and the problems just vanish -- its safest.

                              Hi, FA.
As to the customized VTS menu --
I understood your opinion. Sorry to say selfish thing.

As to the Help file --
My screen resolution is 1280x768 (it is wide type display).
I confirmed and compared ver4.11 and 4.12. It is seemed to be almost fixed.
*Starting TitleWriter : fixed in 4.12
                              *Settings : no overlap(both)
                              *Add/Edit DVD_TEXT : a little overlap(both)
*Add A Menu : changed and fixed in 4.12
                              *Make A Menu(Menu Maker) : no overlap(both)
                              (edit)ver.4.13 is same.

And the thing found this time --
Buttons are not created when HighLight Color is setted to black.
It is reported from Japanese users, and I confirmed, too.
                              (edit)ver.4.13 is same.

                              Regards.
