Okay that told me how to fix the overlap
(I repasted all images in NVU -- must have missed some in add edit dvdtext)
The why of it baffles me -- this overlap doesn't show up here at any screen resolution. Oh well maybe the monkey will get it right in the next Ver.

Yes that would follow (In all Versions) -- I'm using black as the transparent color in spumux Highlight and Select masks (had to use some color) and I'm already using it as a transparant color in the Background and frame code.

Have to add a post dialog error trap to flag user that 0,0,0 is used by menumaker module -- Thats a Standard Windows Color Selector Dialog -- A pain to modify internally to eliminate 000 from possible selections.

Heres a fixed TW and DVDtext.html (paste the latter in HelpSystem folder) that should cover it.

Hi, FA
when you use the check for new release in the Titlewritter you get

Code:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access //titlewriter/SimpleMenus.zip on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.dvdshrink.info Port 80
i think you have to change how you do it, because you removed simple menu

BTW how can you call other apps from titlewritter is saw a screenshot, but could not figure out how to get that done.

thanks

SimpleMenus are now gone (See TW Help >> changelog for why) never to return

(Being very gentle now) Try clicking View Tools

Read About >> TW Help>>Useful stuff for CLI's and Macros to built your own (You might be able to just paste I've included a couple from my sys.

The First icon is the Transcoder (DVDShrink prefered) is special used for Automatic operations involving readding Original menu to Shrink reauthored -- It can just be used as DVDShrink though.

Also used to initiate processing multiple compiliations in a stack, automating original/generic menu addition etc (somewhat like multishrink but TW can re(add) menus set dvdtext etc)

TW is my start interface for all dvd manipulations except ripping --Help file Helps

And of course Make Menu can be specified as an additional post transcoding step in Settings in regular multi compiliation mode (but you have to leave room for menu in DvdShrink )

I had the problem when creating menu from Re-Authored 20 titles(VTSs).
Command of Next Button of last movie menu is jump to PGC of "all-play", not to "first movie menu".
I tested about 8 titles, so the same problem was happened. I had no problem about 5 or 11 titles(VTSs) before.
It seems to have the problem when the number of titles(VTSs) is a value of the multiple of 4.

Regards.

jinjin_jp (page-1)*4 < numvts versus (page-1)*4 <= numvts sigh

tried below on 12 and 5 movie compiliations -- fine

Damn getting about time for another release.
About the only other thing that can go wrong is at the 50+ movie threshold. (extra pgcs have to be created at that point because of the 128 command limit per pgc) but I'm fairly confident (for once)

creating menu failure

My purpose in trying titlewriter 4.13 is this. I have been downloading movies mostly in .avi files and have been burning them to dvd's. First I convert the .avi files to .vob using vsodivxtodvd, merging 2 .avi movie files (2 separate movies) into one VIDEO_TS folder, for the purpose of burning 2 movies onto one single layer dvd (using dvd shrink). So I've been looking for a way to add a basic menu so I can navigate directly to the second movie without having to fast-forward through the first movie.
After downloading titlewriter, i open my VIDEO_TS folder using the green icon (open dvd compilation in titlewriter), switch to text and rename volume, title 1, and title 2, then switch to "make menu". For my first try i decide to use the suggestions that are already there, so I click on "create menu", and after a few seconds, all I get is "failure", and the screen returns to the menu creator with a change......the button images have changed to both having the same thumbnail and text.
Am I doing something wrong here? Do you know of a simpler way I can accomplish my task?
I have also tried importing my .avi files directly into dvditpro, and I have successfully created the menus, however, I am not happy with the video quality upon completion.
Any help will be greatly appreciated by this newbie who is doing his best to educate himself to the world of digital video!

BTag -- In TW your method seems right -- I'm guessing something in your source is off -- I find it very very odd both thumbnails became the same.
Do you have a VTS_02_01.vob in pre TW folder
If not you authored the compiliation as multiple ttn in 1 VTS which TW will dork trying to figure out
Either way you could try this (its a pain but will answer a question in my mind)
Open the compiliation in dvdshrink and reauthor into 2 seperate movies (you'll have to reset in preferences to dl)

And then open TW on the DVDShrink result (if Dvdshrink crashes something is wrong with your source) If TW then works its definitely your source.

If it still fails Zip up all the ifo's and I'll have a look

Please read rule 6.

Consider actually buying the DVD in which case TW will work.

Fallen Angel> A Newbie needs some help with re-inserting a menu

Hi there. As it says i'm new to multimedia and HAVE burned dvds and used dvd shrink and various other programs so i'm not TOTALLY NEW. I have a dvd i used dvd decrypter to get the files from. I used infoedit like your tutorial says. Everything is going well but what im confused with and if you could walk me thru step by step please is how to re-insert the original menu back into my dvd to re-author?? I currently have TW 4.1 BTW.
If you need any more info please just ask.

thanks for your time

T
