Now that is the Weirdest thing I've ever seen. The tables Post Tw show a segment added but the filesize is to small and the DVD TEXT segment is missing -I'm surprised it plays anywhere.

In TW UNDO changes (Don't hit save changes)and send me the resultant VIDEO_TS files

I am not sure what you mean. I never saved the undo files. I only have the original and what I changed it to.

Okay the Originals then-- Ps when Tw is used it creates A folder In the same dir. as your compiliation.
Is there a Video_ts.vob file in your compiliation. The Ifo says no

Okay now the TW files show Dvd_text added properly.
But something I noticed in your originals (TW straightened it out) the ifo shows a 48 segment blank or a 96kb Video_ts.vob (Does that file exist - If it does Roxio screwed up the tables if it doesn't they screwed Up padding the ifo).One way or another the Roxio output is not technically compliant.
You might try IfoEdit ->>GetVTS Sectors BEFORE TW to fix. Or just use DVDShrink to build your DVD

It could be Roxio. What I will try is build a DVD movie with Roxio, then use DVD shrink to back it up. Then I will edit the DVD shrink backup files and try it.

I'd try the IFoedit first (quicker) and watch if it catches the problems (IFOEDIT Windows will pop up saying corrected sector addresses etc)
I'm unsure if DVDShrink in full mode will correct the problems (I could easily be wrong). Reauthor mode would fix them for sure (Since DVDS creates completely new compliant Ifo's). Well good luck let me know how it turns out.

Ps I can't be totally sure (without the full set of files) but the Post TW result looked right (TW straighted out the ifo)) -- what happened in your first run I haven't a clue.

Legitimate technique as all players I've tested both hardware/software playback fine.

I mentioned this earlier with regard to PgcEdit Trace mode failure, even though everything plays fine.

Title Play Maps are independent structures that resolve to VTS offsets -- not the reverse.
Any Vts can have multiple Titleplay maps. Dummy Vts #'s can exist (at the command level) as long as they resolve to content that does exist.

This was why I had to add the menu simplification and button kill/command editors, Bypass Vmg/Pgc menu playback.
Now I really don't need PgcEdit Post TW for anything to end up with a DVDShrink Reauthored DVD with Original/Generic menus. with Crap bypassed (Though still need it for ARCCOS)

Any trip requires an end -- the path is optional

Thanks for anwering FA (and at doom9).

My post is not a criticism, just pointing out a potential issue. I also thought that a PGC can't have 2 titles associated with it (maybe mpucoder can weigh in at doom9 with the definitive answer). Of course, within a VTS, a "Jump to TTN x in this VTS" is sufficient to identify it, irrespective of title number in VMG.

As for dummy VTSs, yes, I have no problems with this (although the specs supposedly say a PGC in the titles domain must be associated with a title). 2COOL and I tested this exhaustively in his mechanism to chapter skip between VTSs and found it OK.

Quite curious though as to why you would add a title when it seems unnecessary.

I have asked mpucoder on this subject on his own DVD Info forum. Waiting for his reply.

I am sure that it is mandatory for each TTN to have an entry in VMG_TT_SRPT. Again, the fact that the players are happy is not a guarantee. You could have a player crashing only because it has no title number to show in his led display!
But I agree that having several title numbers assigned to the same PGC is probably less important, even if it is illegal.
I wonder what will be mpucoder's opinion...

Blutach: I didn't add it in the table entrys it was there in the imported ifos from the menu being added.
I simply rewired the offsets to point to something

R0lz: I've tested reauthored discs with menu's on 16 hardware players (4 Sony) and a number of software players without mishap

Perhaps someday when I'm seriously bored I'll walk through all the Dvd navcommands Both .vob and .ifo and rewrite to somewhere legit. But since the dummy's trick works fine.....

I don't ask you to change anything in TW. But I have added a check in PgcEdit to allow the user to "fix" this situation. If it appear to be legit, I will remove this check. That's all.
