Problem:
<o> </o>
I own a Music Video Disk by one of my favorite groups. I would like to be able to be able to edit the clips (via Video Redo/Womble) after ripping them via DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink. Here is the issue however. The only source audio that comes with the VOB stream is “24 Bit, 48000, LPCM†and it is the 24 bit that is the problem here.
<o> </o>
No matter what I do in VideoRedo or Womble Video Wizard 2005. All I hear is a White Noise type of static. Even if I convert the VOB over to MPEG2 it still does this (if the program even lets me load the file)
<o> </o>
What I would like to know is if there is anyway to convert the source mentioned above to 16bit? I have tried using every program I could think of from TMPGenc (latest build) and de-multiplexing then re-multiplexing (which will not accept the audio stream), from Wombles which does not even see the audio in the VOB.

I even tried using Besweet light but it did not help.

If anyone has an idea, or had this issue and knows a fix/workaround for this I would be more than humbled.

What scares me is if more DVD’s start coming out like this and there is no solution. From other threads I read none seems to ever have given an answer.
