    Please Help, THis is realy Frustrating

    I keep getting an "unspecified target error" using nero when the burning is starting.

      I've used these disks before.

      I updated Nero, but i don't know where to find the lates firmware.

      I'm using a Sony DVD RW DW-D56A

        i would go to the manufacturer's website...make sure you have the right model#

        or this link may work


        i don't see your model# on this page, perhaps there is no upgrade available? is there any change after nero upgrade?

          How can I find out what firmware I have currently installed?

          There was no change after the Nero upgrade, I've also tried burning with DVD Decrypter and was equaly unsuccesful.

                            Also did you just put your burner in, there was a user on here that had a conflict because they were both sset as master I think ?

                              No, it's the one that came with the computer. By the way, I succesfuly burned a CD with the PFS2 firmware so it's only a dvd problem.
