Testing the Benq 1650 and more

Right now intel about owns the game with sata controllers and serial dvd burners, others haven't fully complied with the standards that make a dvd burner work right, same problem with ide controller cards and ide dvd burners.

@ Chewey, I was trying to get me a BenQ 1655 from "NewEgg" and they don't carry it anymore!!! But they have the 1650. I already have a 1640 and it is pretty good. Just need a back-up just in case it craps out on me.
I ntoice you were talking up the LG and NEC ... so what do U recommend???

Sorry to bother you again ... but If I can get my hand on a 1655 for a little more ... should I get the 1655 since it also has a the "Lightscribe" ... just in case I want to decide to so some lightscribing!?!?!?

Or is the 1650 better than 1655?

Looks like I got mine just in time...you should still be happy with the DW1650 without the lightscribe feature. A printable disc looks better anyway.

OK. I am going to buy me a 1655 ... which seller you TRUST and had a better luck with SMS or Meritline??? Since I cannot get it at NewEgg. They only have 1650.

Gonwk can you go into comp USA they should still have 1650 under comusa brand just look for dw1650, right behind the box above the scan dash

I will look for more 1640 this week when I have chance they are very good to all the media just more expensive

Just out of curiosity ... what store carries the 1640's and what do you look for in "Labeling" so to make sure it is a 1640? And usually for how much?

1640 is expensive about twice of 1650-55 but I will buy it if I can find, in comp usa, in the back of comp usa package just above the scan write dw 1640
