actually the imation media don't do too poorly, i got stuck with them when i tried to return some other imation media that was made in taiwan(cmc magnetics). you do run across a few more coasters than i like but out of the 60 i got in exchange, i had 1-2 turn into coasters out of 10, the ones they were exchanged for had 3 out of 40 not become coasters. I guess if the price is right buy them, with my liteon i had a better success rate burning them at 6x insted of 8x. I wish it would burn single layer at 4x but no go with it. I would be willing to try those swiss discs if i could find them.
If you use these forums you will not have to face that...
    Long Live Foamy!!!

My burners Nec ND 3550A, Benq DQ60, Liteon SHW P6S, 2 Sony AW_Q170A's (free with my new system) and JLMS XJ-HD S.

I wonder if it's bad batches or that liteon hates that mid?

another reason to have more than 1 burner

my fake/cloned windata yuden T02 crap out in my new benq, they burn in everything else tho, just consistently poor.

swisstec were on sale last week at compusa

I am waiting for the mcc 004 to go back on sale(verb 16x dvd+r)

Too many problems with burning and liteon's, codeguys are the best thing
liteon's got going, the registry patch for the 1 ecc scanning interval for benq and NEC might be interesting.

Now that Wind (a liteon engineer) co-operate with C0deKing in the CDF forum I'm sure that we'll see good results in firmwares development

To replace the LG when it wears out and to show us how good that YudenT02
is. The LG will do good with transfer and scandisk and most any cmcmag.
My theory is a 95-99 burn is gonna last longer and play in more players longer.

Unfortunately when you are on a limited budget you have to make do with what you got. I just put another gig of RAM in this to take it up to 2 gigs. Remember this was put together before I found this Forum. Show me the benq you recommend & you never know.

Thanks geno, I will take a look at both. I don't worry about lightscribe, I use lightSharpie (LOL).
