I took me a little bit to figure out the best method. It seems the BCIC firmware didn't like me so I switched to BCFC and everything seemed to work better for meComment

This was burned at 12x.One thing I am noticing is that I keep getting a spike around th 0.5 mark on both my 03's and 02's. Anybody know what is causing this?
EDIT
OK as I said above I thought the BCFC F/W was the answer. As I did more reading at CF they all claim BCIC is the best firmware to use.So I got to thinking that I never did use the setting I was using with BCFC and that was WOPC On/SB Supported on.so I swiched back to BCIC And sure enough I did get a better scanAttached Files- BENQ2____DVD_DD_DW1650_BCFC_15-November-2006_22_52.png (35.2 KB, 230 views)

that second scan looks like it was burning too fast at the end, pie's are getting way out of spec for a benq scan, or bad dye spread at outer edge of disk
try to be consistent and only change one variable at a time
using cdspeed to burn an iso allows you to see details in the burn speed graph
correlated with the error graphComment

Here is the test.I noticed the speed was going from 11-12x and then dropped to 4-6x is that normal?I will check back later my peepers convinced me that I need some sleepComment

If you turn every things off with Qsuit it will be smoother ( only for TY or Verb). I just wonder now you have Benq1650 and Nec 3550 which one is better?sigpicComment

I will do the TY03's tomorrow.I really hate the 03's and I don't think I will ever buy them again.I am just going to stick with the TY02's and Verbs from now on I have had great luck with both of themComment
