my experience with dvd burners is exactly the opposite, only in the last year or so did the technology mature, the nec 3550, lg 4163 and benq 1650
surpassed any previous burners I had ever used. My previous pioneers and plex burners were not capable of near perfect burns, buggy at best.

missed the verbatim dvd+r's last week, the dash wasn't so bad

this weeks experiment, Imation 16x dvd+r @ 8x LG 4163

my nec 3550 burn had a pif total of 168, very pretty

these disks were 6$/25 radioshack

It is nice burn for Imation but I would still give away and only keep the YD or Verb

she kept preaching about stable clean power and quality of burns, finally sunk in enough, Jmet also said it solved his problems

All I know I would have never of thought it would have been the PS I probably would have kept getting new burners thinking I had rotten luck lol.I'll lay 10 to 1 that's what was wrong with my NEC.Oh well at least I have 3 solid burners

Here is a disc I redid I just had smart burn enabled just to see what it would do.Far as I can tell I got better results keeping Force Hyper Tuning and Online Hyper Tuning enabled

I think it was my PS also.I am really liking it I can't even hear my PC running anymore.This was a great diagnoses and recommendation by the wookie
