        I looks like one of those spools of the econemy TY's were after all TYG02,

        Looks like I will have more of those then I thought.

        Burning at 8X on 8X TYG02

        I seem to get the best results with burning at 8X, (4X starts to get hot and faster I get some fails but 8X seems to work great.)

          really do like to bitsett

          much better than the fuji's, little more consistent with pif's than the imation, and equivalent to a lot of batches of verbatim

          safe buy

          BTW photo way to go! Looks like you got a very good batch! Don't waste them on tests and cruddy

                it takes 2 or 3 burns to show a difference and then the blanks must be super consistent and of higher quality

                    @chewy,

                    I plan to use this batch for the best movies and the Soprano's LOL.

                    Looks like there are some great results with these TYG02 acrossed the board here.

                    I will keep my eyes out for those for a while and stock up when I can or should I say while I can.

                              For the first thing you need stable clean power(brought to my attention by Chewy).For the Lite-On SHM-165H6S(Dont know why it shows as Sony) I first used the HS0E firmware and I wasn't satisfied with the results so I switched to the HV9N firmware.Like I said above jm1647 brought C0deKing's HV9N firmware to my attention it can be found here.I have both Force Hyper Tuning and Online Hyper Tuning enabled you can use imgburn or SmartBurn v3.1.16t to make these settings.I used Taiyo Yuden(MIJ) -R blank media and I burn at 8X

                                Seems the BenQ1650 does a little better of a job on the TYG03's then my Lite-On.You can compare this to my test above.All though I have not lost faith in my Lite-On because that was it's first burn with the TYG03's.By the way it was burned at 12x
