I burned one last night, with my comp. I can select any speed I want to in Imgburn, but it will go go higher than my firmware has the speed rated at. Like I can tell it to burn at 16x, but if my firmware sees the disc as a 8x disc, it will say it's burning at 16x, but will never go above 8x. I have some 8x disc that my firmware sees as 16x and can burn them at any speed, but I think these showed up at 4x, I will give them a 8x test and see.

I don't think we will regret buying these disks whatever speed, 23 cents to the door is a deal

I know I don't regret it, I love the disc at any speed for that price, and delivered to your door. Can't be beat. I wish my firmware would allow 8x burning like your NEC does, but I don't mind the extra time, I just think I could produce better burns at 8x. From other test my burner seems to do better at 8x or 12x, rather than 4x.

PS. I didn't know they were scanning, I thought maybe you slipped. Sorry.

I found some ProDisc +Rs a few months ago, but now I can't find any HUB-printable SILVER DVDs. Is anyone making them?

And hub-printable CD-Rs (white OR silver) are evading me, too.

looks like i might have to if I want to burn at 8x with these disks and the benq.

My nec 3550 did a decent job at 8x and 12x, my nec 3540 at 8x,

i only use Office Depot brand now, if you watch the sales you can get 100 for $20, and on top of that you can join the Rewards program and get 10% back if you buy more than $200 in 3 months plus other coupons from time to time

I recently got 500 discs for about $93 tax included

I don't know what everyone else looks for in quality but I've used the same discs for about 2 years with no problems, I never pay more than .20 for my discs
