i'm using dvdecrypter 3.5.4.0 with any dvd 6.01.1. i decrypt the disc with no prob and write it as an iso when i go to burn that iso to a duel layer disc iget all sorts of errors 30 of them and it just wont write it tried to rip it in file mode then made an iso with pgcedit and it's iso did the same as dvdecryptors did can any one have a suggestion first time i can't back up a disk.

Sounds more as a burning problem than a ripping/decrypting issue.

Can you post the burn log from DVD Decrypter? Also - I would suggest you burn the DL ISO files with ImgBurn instead. That program is updated - DVD Decrypter is not.

this is the only movie i get this error with and it's a good dvd no scratches

See my earlier comment on media.

You are using Ritek D-01. Get Verbatim DL media, burn it at 2.4x (NOT "Max") and make sure your firmware is up to date (get new firmware here).

well i get write errors now with other dvd's now. i d/l the patch still the same beloe is the new log for the majestic and i copied the error message word for word from the write error

do single layer burns work? Not too impressed with sony firmware for that drive(it's actually a benq 1640).

the single finishes and says "finished correctly" but fails to play in any player.

it has always said that but has worked fine for 3 months, have backed up at least 140 disks.

Blutach has given some awesome advice. Did you update your firmware?

Are you now using Verbatim DL discs?

If you answered no to any or both thats why you are still having problems.

Media is constantly changing so up dating firmware well help your burner to keep up with the changing media.

Verbatims are the best know DL disc to use at this time.

Use them at your peril, but I hope you have a lotta big parties and have the need for many coasters.
