Windata DL +R's Sale

Hi;

Just received email that MicroCenter has these on sale for about 75 cents per.

We know Verb's are the best,but if these work...it will save about half of Verb prices.

Anyone used the Windata DL's with success????

Going to buy them regardless,and experiment.

The key work being "if"...and it's a pretty expensive if.

Just placed the order for about 20...came out w/shipping and tax to about $1 per.
Still better than Verb's that i've only gotten as low as $1.50 on sale..and normally about $2 per.

If they work...i'll let you know asap.

Scans from CD/DVD Speed would be nice too...if it's not to much trouble.

windata's are made in hong kong, something tells me noone will ever post a scan

Update....received the disc's....they burn at 2.4 only....not like my favorite Verb's that will burn up to 8x....I use 4x for verb's,and have been spoiled on the fast burn time...so for now i'll only use the Win's when i'm not in a hurry.

First burn.....burned successfully...kindof....I was backing up a wierd Asian titled,so i'm not sure if it was me or the disc,but I got NO soundtrack's!!!

At this time...I believe it was my error,and not Win's...so I have to play with them some more...will report back...asap.

Plus..i'm not "scan" qualified...so you may have to help me there.

does it say made in japan on the package(in english writting)?

Packaging sez "Manufactured by UmeDisc Ltd..made in Hong Kong

Packaging also refers to "up to 8x speed (like Verb's),but as I said my burner will only recognize 2.4 burn speed.

they use ricoh dye(or at least claim to)

same story I found on my yuden t02's made by them in hong kong

since the pioneers don't do very good quality scans, you could always use a transfer test

probably better not to burn at 4x anyway with them

the pioneers are one of the few burners that can burn that mid code decently
