I'm searching for a new dvd player for playing my ripped movies, since my toshiba player(7yrs. old) is having a hard time playing many of them. Any recommendations on a player that plays both dvd-r and dvd+r rips? Anyone have experience with the phillips DVP5140/37 DVD player? any help on the subject would be much appreciated!

loc-- I have an older toshiba player and a klh player, im getting the green pixelation on both, but not in the same place on the mive, but not on my daughters poloroid portable player, they play flawlessly, even though all rips are labeled....im using memorex dvd-r, i did a scan check and checked out the quality on the link provided in this frum, somewhere, and it says they are 2nd generation media, so i thought these dvds would be ok, am i incorrect?Comment

All of the time I use this setting. It fools the DVD player into thinking it is a pressed DVD.
