I did not know there was a poll for this before ( it's way before my time here) when I brought it up in the topic Floppy linked from to here.. I still think it is a great idea!!!
Poll so far 47 yes as a benefit, 20 no who prefer the forum, and 9 who would use it. I hop e the majority rules
For those that do not want to see a Chat function here, you can continue to Chat in the forums as you normally do. The only disadvantage of the Chat function would be whoever uses it won't get a post increase in their post count. If it is setup as a normal chatroom, conversations that are good info to all could be cut and pasted into a topic as a response or as a new topic.
I would like to think that there is a little freedom and we can live without killing each other over it but by rather respecting and understanding other peoples views...
Voted No... well thats ok I asked for honest opinions...
I definatly like the idea of the chat room, but the thing I really like about the forum now is that you can look back and see things that have been disgussed already and get advise that way instead of having repetative chat. Maybe if there was a way to keep track of chats, and advise on fixing problems this would be great, but ofcourse chat is alwats good anyways to get an immediate response how can you go wrong with that????
I have never used a chatroom but maybe on this forum I would so I am going to vote yes but I prefer the forum. As long as experienced people are willing to take the time to help people like myself it should work. What if you are in a chat and have to go to the can.
